Canoeing

Canoeing is permitted on Ennerdale water in certain areas (see Warden for details)
Lake is classified B1 May 31st - October and B2 at other times.
Appropriate Charge Certificate must be held (inspectable by the Warden)
A Permit from United Utilities is needed (See Booking Form)

Mountainous

Fell walking surrounding the camp-site.
Suitable for all levels of experience but correct authorisation must be held.
Climbing for experienced people only Pillar Rock (classic climb) - NO suitable crags for Beginners
Climbing for novices a short trip away at Keswick

Bathing - In the river Ehen bordering the site NO swimming in the lake as it is a local water supply
