Canoeing
- Canoeing is permitted on Ennerdale water in certain areas (see Warden for details)
- Lake is classified B1 May 31st - October and B2 at other times.
- Appropriate Charge Certificate must be held (inspectable by the Warden)
- A Permit from United Utilities is needed (See Booking Form)

Fell walking surrounding the camp-site.

Suitable for all levels of experience but correct authorisation must be held.

Climbing for experienced people only Pillar Rock (classic climb) - NO suitable crags for Beginners

Climbing for novices a short trip away at Keswick

Surrounding area
- The river Ehen is a site of Special Scientific Interest, rich with wildlife including mussels. - You are cordially requested to take special care not to alter the ecosystem round these special habitats. All use of the river for canoeing, rafting, bathing etc. is
prohibited, use of the ox-bow is however still permitted under certain
conditions.
